Michael Pezzi is co-founder and CTO of Reactiv, the mobile commerce platform built for Shopify brands. He's an engineer first, with more than a decade of building and architecting software before Reactiv. That includes nearly ten years at Acquia, where he went from software engineer to application architect designing systems at scale, followed by engineering leadership at Topstep as a software architect and engineering manager working in AWS and Ruby on Rails. At Reactiv he owns the technical foundation: the infrastructure that lets brands ship fast, native mobile experiences without the cost and time of a custom build. He writes about the engineering decisions behind that — performance, architecture, and what it takes to build mobile commerce that holds up at scale. He's based in Toronto.
